Adobe Training Description

You have probably worked with some of the web design applications to create graphics for the web. However, you would now like to have better control over editing vector and bitmap graphics and also make web graphics appear the way you had intended. In this course, you'll work with some of the tools and features of Adobe® Fireworks® CS3 to create and edit vector and bitmap graphics, apply interesting effects, add graphical text, optimize graphics, and export it as a HTML file.

Adobe Training Objective

You will use Adobe® Fireworks® CS3 to create vector graphics, edit bitmap graphics, optimize images, create and assign rollover effects, and create multiple pages for the web.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system, such as creating folders, launching programs, and working with Windows. Students should also have basic Windows application skills, such as copying and pasting objects, formatting text, saving files, and so on. Students should have a familiarity with web terminology.

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Target Student

This course is intended for students who want to learn the basic techniques used to create web pages. Students must be proficient in working with Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system.

Hardware Requirements

  • A 1 GHz Pentium-class processor or faster.
  • Minimum 512 MB of RAM.
  • A 10 GB hard disk or larger.
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • A mouse or other pointing device.
  • 1024 x 768 resolution monitor recommended.
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • familiarize yourself with the Adobe® Fireworks® CS3 application.
  • create vector graphics.
  • transform vector images and apply live filters to them.
  • import a bitmap graphic and enhance it.
  • add text to a web page.
  • create slices and rollovers, and optimize an image.
  • create hotspots for images and link them to web pages.
  • create multiple pages and export them.
  • organize creative assets using Adobe® Bridge.
