Adobe Training Description

Building a website is no longer a difficult task. Web designing applications such as Adobe GoLive CS2 come with all the latest tools and features to design an attractive website. Though you may be aware of the basic features of GoLive CS2, you would now want to use its advanced features to build more sophisticated websites. In this course, you will be introduced to the advanced concepts of the Adobe GoLive CS2 web development application.

You will use Adobe GoLive CS2 to create more sophisticated websites that might include dynamic elements, rollovers, navigation bars, layers, animations, as well as to develop websites suitable for mobile devices

To ensure your success, we recommend you first take the following course: Adobe GoLive CS2: Level 1

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Target Student

The target student is a proficient user of a Windows operating system who needs to develop websites using the advanced concepts of GoLive CS2

Hardware Requirements

  • Intel® Pentium® III or IV processor (400 MHz or higher recommended).
  • Microsoft® Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or 4, or Windows XP Service Pack 1 or 2 operating system.
  • At least 192 MB of available RAM (256 MB recommended).
  • At least 700 MB of available hard-disk space.
  • CD-ROM drive.
  • 800 x 600 monitor resolution (1024 x 768 is recommended).
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • add snippets, components, and smart objects.
  • create rollovers and dynamic navigation bars.
  • define, apply, and edit a cascading style sheet.
  • define head elements to make your website searchable on the Internet.
  • create and manage layers to position objects and add dynamic elements to a navigation bar.
  • create animations using the DHTML Editor.
  • use site management features to track and fix common problems that may arise as you prepare a site for uploading.
  • identify the design considerations for developing websites for mobile devices.
