Photoshop CS: Web Production is a course that will familiarize you with concepts and techniques important for optimizing images for display on the Internet.

Adobe Training Certification

This courseware title addresses the Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) Program objectives for the Photoshop CS exam. The ACE Program is for graphic designers, Web designers, developers, systems integrators, value-added resellers, and business professionals who seek recognition for their expertise with specific Adobe products. Certification candidates must pass a product proficiency exam in order to become an Adobe Certified Expert.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

To ensure your success, we recommend you first take the following courses or have equivalent knowledge:

  • Photoshop CS: Basic Image Enhancement
  • Photoshop CS: Refined Masking, Image Effects, and Retouching

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Hardware Software Requirements

You will need

  • An Intel Pentium class III or 4 processor.
  • Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3, or Windows XP.
  • At least 192 MB of RAM, 256 MB recommended.
  • At least 280 MB of free hard-disk space to install software, and an additional 25 MB to run the course.
  • A color monitor with 16-bit or greater video card.
  • 1024 x 768 or greater monitor resolution.
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe ImageReady CS.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer, or other Web browser.
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Set Photoshop's unit preferences to measure Web image resolution.
  • Save files in different formats to see how well each one balances image quality with file size reduction.
  • Calibrate your system's color display to create Web images with confidence rather than guesswork.
  • Use Photoshop as part of creating finished Web pages.
  • Export individual slices and create an HTML Web page that displays a table containing the sliced sections.
  • Use ImageReady as a tool for creating animation.
