Pro/ENGINEER: Introduction for Non-Designers
AutoCAD Training Overview

This course provides reviewers or downstream users of Pro/ENGINEER data with the knowledge to investigate, manipulate, and annotate existing models. It is targeted at individuals who require less training on geometry creation techniques. The student will learn to open models for the purposes of providing feedback, verification, image capture, and taking data into specialized modules. This course provides a good introduction to Pro/ENGINEER for users who are evaluating the software or who need a high-level understanding of the software’s capabilities.

AutoCAD Training Topics

  • Pro/ENGINEER interface
  • Obtaining model information
  • Display control
  • Creating datum features
  • View manager
  • 3D annotations
  • Creating planar and offset cross-sections
  • View creation and detailing
  • File management
  • Exporting and importing data
Upon completion of this course, users will be able to:

  • Navigate using the Pro/ENGINEER interface
  • Perform file management within Pro/ENGINEER
  • Modify dimensions
  • Use Pro/ENGINEER model investigation and analysis tools
  • Create cross-sections
  • Use Simplified Representations to simplify the display and reduce regeneration time for large assemblies
  • Control model display using layers, suppression, view manager, 3D annotations, colors
  • Create views and add detail information using Pro/ENGINEER Drawing mode
