WebLogic Training Overview

Weblogic Portal is an enterprise scalable portal platform. Portals allow organizations to build a consistent web presentation for their applications that are deployed on both intra and internets. This class will guide developers through the process of building all the necessary components of a portal applications within Weblogic Workshop. Students will also spend some time administrating portals while deploying campaigns and targeted presentations for particular types of users. This is a hands-on learning experience, with each student having their own Weblogic Server to learn with.

WebLogic Training Objectives

After completing this course, the student should be able to:

  • Describe Portal Application development
  • Design, Create and Deploy enterprise scalable portals on Weblogic
  • Create portlets to allow existing applications to be surfaced simply and easily
  • Define PageFlows and surface them in a portlet
  • Configure Custom Look and feel components like Skins and Skeletons
  • Create Users and Groups for targeting campaigns
  • Secure applications based on a users login credentials
  • Tune a Weblogic server for maximum performance
WebLogic Training Prerequisites

Participants should have a java development background. Familiarity with building and deploying JSP and Servlet based web applications is essential. Some background familiarity with Weblogic as a platform is helpful, but not necessary.
