AutoCAD Architecture 2009 Advanced
AutoCAD Training Overview

AutoCAD Architecture is “AutoCAD optimized for architecture.” In addition to all the standard AutoCAD tools, this software offers a host of features to greatly increase the speed and efficiency of architectural drawings.

AutoCAD Architecture 2009 Advanced is the second course in the AutoCAD Architecture 2009 training guide series and is intended primarily for architects and other advanced students. The course is ideal for those who need to create mass elements; modify and plan spaces; create architectural object styles including wall, door, window and space styles; and customize settings within the AutoCAD Architecture environment.

AutoCAD Training Topics

  • Understanding the Style Manager
  • Using advanced wall and section/elevation tools
  • Managing drawings with projects and applying project standards
  • Creating massing studies with mass elements and mass groups
  • Using spaces and areas to develop a building design
  • Defining multi-view blocks and creating custom content
  • Creating styles for AEC objects including walls, doors, windows, and curtain walls as well as annotation object styles
  • Customizing layer properties and the display system
Prerequisites

AutoCAD Architecture 2009 Fundamentals or equivalent experience with the software. A solid background in AutoCAD is also an asset since AutoCAD tools and concepts are essential for working with AutoCAD Architecture. In particular, students should be familiar with basic 3D viewing tools (preset viewpoints, 3D Orbit, and shading options), layouts, and xrefs (used in AutoCAD Architecture projects).

AutoCAD Training Course Duration

24 hours
