Pro/ENGINEER: Sheet Metal Design extends the principles of solid modeling to sheet metal parts. This course enables you to apply your modeling skills to the creation of sheet metal features such as wall, bends, notches and form features. Upon completion of this course, you will have acquired the skills to confidently manipulate sheet metal geometry, performing tasks such as unbending simple and complex geometry, adjusting bend developed lengths, and converting solid parts.
- The sheet metal environment
- Primary and secondary walls
- Regular and cross-section driven unbends
- Sheet metal cuts
- Angle and roll bends
- Die and punch forms
- Notches and punches
- Unbending and form flattening
- Sheet metal drawings
- Conversion of solid features and conversion features
- Bend tables and y factor
- Default bend radius and fixed geometry
- Sheet metal reports and design rules
