Bringing a Project to a Safe Landing
Overview:

The Challenge
Transition is that period of time that spans implementation of a project's deliverables and initial use of those deliverables by the customer. The amount of Business Value that a project delivers depends critically on how well the work of Transition is carried out. Yet, in today's project management practice, this aspect of the project is not always well planned and executed. In fact, this is just the place where shortcuts may be taken when time and money run short, with the result that generation of Business Value is severely impaired.

The Solution
This advanced project management workshop focuses on the steps necessary to prepare for and execute the work of Transition. The material includes definition of the project processes involved, discussion of common roadblocks and success factors, and review of the benefits of formally managing Project Transition. Participants leave with a new set of concepts and tools that can be applied to any project.
